NEW LAND FOR SHELTER:
OUR DREAM FUREVER HOME FOR OUR ANIMALS
After more than a decade of renting and facing the challenges of not having a permanent home for our animals, we aim to purchase a large piece of land. This will provide a forever home for our current animals and accommodate new additions like horses and others in the future. With the positive developments of our “ care for carriage horses” program and the fact that the horse population keeps on decreasing, we are more often faced with situations where especially older horses don’t have any where to go. Our dream is to provide a sanctuary for these senior horses that have been abused and worked hard their entire lives. We want to give them a well deserved retirement where they can live out their lives comfortably. Unfortunately, our current location is no longer feasible, and we need to secure a new place by 2026
This marks our fifth move, and after careful consideration buying land is the best way to ensure the future wellbeing of all our animals. However, buying and building come with significant costs, and we need financial support to make this dream a reality. Renting and building have been expensive, but in the long run, ownership will be
more cost-effective and secure a safer future for our animals and children.
We are also open to other possibilities such as letting us borrow land for a minimum of 15 years. Lending land to us for a long period of time could be a great solution and then we would only have to focus on building facilities which would be far more doable then having to buy and build.
